Monday evening sunset

The family celebrated the 6 year birthday of grandson Ethan with a rich and tasty dinner at Red Robin, where he looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed the wait staff clapping loudly while singing the Red Robind birthday song. I look forward to driving the last couple miles before reaching home; the views of the Olympics often take my breath away. I felt especially honored to witness this beautiful sunset on my way home from the birthday dinner, and because for once I had my camera in the car beside me, I can share it with you, too.

I love the colours and thank you for the hints on dyeing in a microwave.
My favorite fruit is the Burre Bosh pears but here the parrots usually get to them before we do. They are about to flower here.

I second the thank you for dyeing in the microwave. Can't wait to see the results at Art and Soul - I'll be looking for you there.

And the sunset. I never get enough good ones since I moved to Portland from Arizona. They are one of my favorite joys.

This is just the most beautiful sunset picture that I think I've seen! I would love to be sitting there just sipping a good glass of wine and watching the gorgeous colors fade into darkness. Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to catch this same feeling on paper?
